What is another type of tequila equal to patron silver that is much more least costly?

I want it almost equal to that of patron silver because patron silver has 100% agave, and I don't get hangovers after I drink it, but is there something in maybe the $15-$20 plus range? Thanks!

Milagro isn't bad. It runs about $25 a bottle or so. It's 100% Agave as well, plus it tastes like its from the same region as Patron. Patron tastes like it is from a highlands where the soil has more clay and iron in it. Similar to the area where my favorite tequila is from, Cazadores (although it's not the silver). Sauza Hornitos is ok, as well as their cheaper 100% agave versions, however, most of their process is automated, and lacks the hand crafted appeal that I look for in tequilas. My girlfriend likes Don Julio, but it can be pricey as well. There... now she will stop asking me to type that. Anyway, as long as it's 100% Blue Agave, you should be ok. Just gotta keep "testing"!
Reply:Try Sauza Hornitos
Reply:You get what you pay for when buying quality Tequila's. You are going to have to just start buying some cheaper ones and see what suits you best. Everyone's taste is different so what one person says is great may not be good to you. Don't be afraid to try something you have never heard of, you may find something great.

GOOD LUCK
Reply:If you want good you have to pay but there is much better than patron, some tequilas i recomend are Casa Noble, Tesoro and Chinaco
Reply:If you live in an area that has Trader Joes, look for the Puerto Vallarta brand. When I lived in California, I used to buy a 750ml bottle of Reposado for about $13, which is the cheapest I've ever seen in the US for a 100% agave tequila.

That was 3 years ago, so it may have gone up a little.

In the under $20 realm for a 750ml bottle of 100% agave tequila:

1. Cabrito - Although sometimes I see it with the 100% agave on the bottle and sometimes not, so make sure you see that.

2. Dos Manos - blanco or reposado

If you go just a few bucks over $20, you can add:

1. Cuervo Tradicional Reposado - I know most Cuervo's are junk, but this is one of 2 good ones they make.

2. 1800 Blanco or Reposado

3. Cazadores - Blanco or Reposado

4. Corazon

Personally I would avoid the Sauza Hornitos. It is 100% agave, unlike most of what Sauza makes, but it is still not a great tasting tequila, and pales compared to everything I've mentioned here.
Reply:There are many Tequilas and the cheaper ones are called 'Mixtos' which means they are not 100% blue Agave but have at least 50% blue Agave. Try Sauza Gold. For the top of the line, I like Grand Patron Platinum. On 24 July 2006, a private collector from the USA paid US$225,000 for a bottle of ultra premium Ley .925 Tequila at an auction in London. Super premium Tequilas are for savouring to Bossonova music with a red hot black haired voluptuous beauty at your side...ay, yai, yai, CARAMBA!! Enjoy! {:-)
