What is Agave?

Ok in geography class we were talking about agave and our geography teacher wont tell us what agave makes. So what does it make?

Reply:Agave is a type of cactus from which tequila is made. Agave nectar is also a component in a lot of natural health drinks.

Reply:agave is a plant found in mexico and the southwestern US. it is not a cactus, even though most people think it is. if you cook it and distill it, you can make mezcal, or depending on the type of agave, tequila
Reply:Well Agave is distilled and used to make tequila..there is also another plant that is called maguey that looks exactly like agave but the only difference between them is that agave can make tequila but maguey can't.
Reply:Agave is not only used to make tequila and mescal. It is also used to make sisal (a fiber used to make rugs).
