Is this unhealthy as a snack?

I take thick oats, add agave nectar, goji berries and some cocoa powder and mix it all up. Is this unhealthy?

Oats are always a positive snack due to the nutrients and fiber content. Take it easy on the nectar. Although it's jam-packed with vitamins and minerals, the nectar is also packed with natural sugars. Same goes for the berries. If you are farely active, you could use that added sugar, so this would be a wonderful snack! Sounds delicious!

Your snack seems to lack protein. Have you ever thought about mixing in some yogurt?


I have raw oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast quite often. I think it tastes good and it is an excellent source of fiber to clean out the ole colon.

Reply:Hmm, sounds pretty good, but I think I would add some water and yeast, ferment it, then filter it, and drink it!
