How much for good tequila in the USA?

I used to buy Sauza Hornitos (a decent 100% agave variety) for about $25. About 7 years ago, there was an apparent drought that caused tequila prices to rise. My brand went to above $40 / 750 mL bottle- the price never went down since. Even the cheap crap is $30 for a 750mL bottle

The only place to buy liquor here is the LCBO - Liquor Communism Board of Ontario (actually Liquor Control Coard of Ontario) - where they're price is the only price. I figured tequila must have still sold well and they decided to just keep the price high and make more $$$.

It is a crime what they charge for tequila in Canada...

In US prices are much more affordable as you can imagine, my favorite brand which is a top shelf, ultra-premium tequila goes from 35 the silver to 79 the anejo USD

Casa Noble Tequila

"Casa Noble ultra premium tequilas begin as carefully selected individual 10 year old plants of Blue Agave. Each one must meet the strict requirements for water and sugar content. We slow-cook them for 38 hours in stone ovens.

Then, using only the core and hearts of the agaves, we extract their robust juice. The fermentation process is 100% natural, followed by a triple distillation. The result is a tequila so pure and full of agave flavor that it has elevated the concept of tequila to new levels around the world.

Casa Noble Tequila Produced and Bottled in Mexico. 40% Alc/Vol (80 Proof). 100% Blue Agave."
Reply:Between $20-$35 try Patron.
Reply:A decent fifth starts at about $22 (Sauza, Cuervo 1800). The good stuff is about $45 for a fifth (Cabo Wabo).
Reply:I don't know the answer to your question but I'd just like to comment that I live in ontario too! London Ontario, to be specific.

WOOH
Reply:If you buy a tequila I`ll give you an advice: make sure are in the bottle the words " 100% agave" or "100% puro de agave" that´s real tequila , if not the words its half tequila half other liquor.
