Making Marshmallow with Brown?

Marshmallow recipes ask for light corn syrup. Can you you agave or brown rice syrup instead?

Agave Marshmallows





Ingredients:


1 cup Volcanic Agave Nectar


2 envelopes unflavored gelatin


1 teaspoon Mexican Vanilla


6 tablespoons cold water


1/4 teaspoon salt





Directions:


Bring agave to boil and dissolve gelatin in water. The gelatin mixes better if you place it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Beat for 10-15 minutes until thick. Put flour on cookie sheet, pour marshmallows on cookie sheet. Let cool and cut into squares.
Reply:No, the taste would be awful. Use corn syrup. Preferably white.
