Does anyone know what liquors don't contain corn syrup or genetically engineered products?

I know that organic beers and liquors use barley and other grains or juices without GMO's, but what about tequila that's 100% agave juice or brandy and wines....? My girlfriend works at a bar and we've recently cut GMO processed foods and corn syrup out of our diet, but she doesn't know what she can drink...

Reply:Real wine, beer and distilled liquors should never contain corn syrup. Corn syrup is only used in prepared alcoholic beverages, like wine coolers, hard lemonades, bottled mixers, etc.

GMOs are a little trickier. Your safest bet would be to buy organic wines and beers (readily available at better liquor stores and places like Whole Foods if you live in an area where grocery stores can sell beer %26amp; wine).

I'm sure many distilled liquors don't use GMO products, but it will take a lot of research to determine whether it's guaranteed that they never source from GMO producers. Whatever your favorite distilled spirit is, I'd recommend googling for organic versions (such as organic vodka). Even though some non-organic products will have no GMO ingredients, it may be difficult to track that down.
