Anyone tried Agave Nectar instead of sugar?
No, I'm a diabetic and I use Splenda, no after tastes like with some fruit based products
Reply:Yes. I have tried Madhava Agave Nectar and I think it tastes really nice and it's quite healthy too. It is a bit like honey.
Reply:I like it because it adds sweetness but doesn't add flavor like honey.
Reply:I LOVE agave and use for everything. Its great as a pancake or waffle syrup, super as a sugar replacement in baking-cookies, muffins, etc. I make raw food bars with it, adding it to nuts, seeds, dates, and pulp left from juicing. Its really great stuff.
Reply:oh we use it, it taste just like honey. it's very good
Reply:I haven't used it "instead of sugar," but I use it as a liquid sweetener, just like maple syrup and brown rice syrup.
Reply:Yep, give me the sugar.
Reply:Yes, it's awesome!!! And u just double it up for recipes (cuz it's liquid). Goes good in tea, and doesn't affect your blood sugar like honey or sugar. :D
Reply:agave nectar is actually not an artificial sweetner. i no longer use sugar and only agave..u can use it in baking, cooking, drinks, and to sweeten up foods. I recommend to use the light instead of the dark personally because the dark nectar seems to be a little strong. but the light nectar is great.i highly recommend it.
Reply:Carefull with artificial sweetners they can cause memory loss check this site out it tells you all about artificial sweeteners
